Ohio-based, Romeo's Pizza broke ground this week on its first Central Texas store on Williams Drive in Georgetown, a news release said.
On hand for the groundbreaking were representatives from the city and Romeo's Pizza Area Representative, Eddie Lucio III, along with the brand's CEO Ryan Rose and CFO Ryan Rao.
"They are developing this brand with tremendous purpose so that we can operate with intention and have a vision for the development of our locations in Texas," Lucio said in the release.
The company plans to have 60 open and operating locations by the end of 2021, with the goal of reaching 250 total pizza locations in the next five years. It also said it plans to have 40 locations in the state of Texas alone.
The company is based in Medina, Ohio and has 46 stores systemwide.
