Point-of-sale software provider ArrowPOS Inc. has inked an agreement with Rosati's Pizza to provide its software to the chain's 140 locations nationwide, according to an announcement.
ArrowPOS Chief Executive Officer Barry Brownhill said the deal is the latest in a trend by the restaurant industry toward point-of-sale software containing automated built-in marketing features, which allows restaurant owners to mine existing customer data at less cost.
"Point of marketing" approaches are unique, according to Brownhill, in that they eliminate the need for restaurant owners to access databases or responsive email design. The software simply rings up orders and the marketing takes off, often resulting in a rate of return visits that triples, he said.
