Round Table Pizza debuts Dr Pepper BBQ pizza, wings

Round Table Pizza has partnered with Dr Pepper and The Dairy Alliance to introduce a limited-time menu, the company announced in a news release.

The menu features the first Dr Pepper-inspired pizza nationwide. Available through Jan. 3, the lineup includes the Dr Pepper BBQ Pizza, topped with bacon, mini pepperoni, a three-cheese blend and a sweet-and-smoky Dr Pepper BBQ sauce. The chain also is offering Dr Pepper BBQ wings, bacon and cheese tots with Dr Pepper BBQ dipping sauce, and a Margherita Pizza.

"Dr Pepper has an incredibly passionate fan base and an unmistakable flavor, which gave us an opportunity to create something people haven't experienced before," Corry Reid, vice president of marketing for Round Table Pizza, said in a news release. "The result is a bold lineup that brings together great pizza, big flavor and shareable favorites made for feeding the whole crew."

The football-season promotion is designed to appeal to game-day gatherings and fans seeking new flavors.
