Russo's New York Pizzeria has opened a location in South Padre Island, Texas.

The South Padre Island location is one of several opened with VKL Franchise, LLC. According to a press release, there are more Texas openings planned for 2016 including Harlingen and Laredo.
"Opening in South Padre Island is a momentous occasion for Russo's New York Pizzeria,” said Chef Anthony Russo, CEO. "We couldn't be happier that Gabriel and his great restaurant management team are bringing the Russo's family tradition to South Padre Island"
The new South Padre location is at 410 Padre Blvd., in 410 Plaza, near Queen Isabella Causeway.
Based in Houston, Russo's Restaurants has 47 locations both national and international, which include the brands Russo's New York Pizzeria and Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen.
