Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen is expanding its cloud kitchen concept, a smaller version of its original concept. The 1,300-square-foot location features Russo's scaled-down "Taste of Italy," focuses on delivered meals made from scratch, a news release said.
"Our new units are economical and set up for rapid growth potential," Chef Anthony Russo said in the release. "The smaller storefronts have the flexibility, like a cloud kitchen, to unlock opportunities in desirable markets, while avoiding the higher paying rent and higher build-out fees."
Each Russo's location is set up with its own crew of delivery drivers and offers contactless carryout, curbside pickup and home delivery. Customers order online via the brand's nypizzeria.com site. Ccontactless delivery customers get a touchless experience and free delivery, while those ordering curbside pickup stay in their cars and employees bring the food to their windows. Finally, contactless carryout takes online orders and makes them ready for pickup at the store upon arrival with no cash transactions.
Russo's has locations now in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Florida, as well as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates.
