Russo's gets 'bigger in Texas'

Russo’s New York Pizzeria opened its second Austin, Texas, location this week on Research Boulevard at the Arboretum. The new store joins an existing Pflugerville location in the Austin market.

Local restaurateur Amin Esar owns the new unit and brings 20 years of restaurant operating experience, a solid financial base and strong community ties to the chain's franchise network, a news release said.

Russo’s Restaurants now has  47 locations globally. These include both the fast casual Russo's New York Pizzeria and its casual dining counterpart, Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen.

The company has U.S. locations in Arkansas, Florida, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, as well as international units in the United Arab Emirates. An additional 30 locations are in development worldwide.

Russo’s New York Pizzeria and its traditional Italian recipes trace their origins to a tight-knit family where the kitchen was the center of activity.
