Sahara hotel sues pizzerias for leaving fliers

September 5, 2002

LAS VEGAS -- The Sahara hotel-casino in Las Vegas is suing 10 local pizzerias for trespassing and distributing fliers under hotel room doors.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, the legendary hotel names Flamingo Pizza Inc., Sicilian Pizza, Traditional Pizza, Bad Boy, Capri Pizza & Restaurant, Euro Pizza, Vegas Pizza, Magura Restaurant, Cafe Verdi and Cafe Verdi West as defendants in the suit.

The suit claims the pizza companies diverted customers from the Sahara's restaurants, and that their activities led to an "accumulation of litter on Sahara's property, guest complaints about the fliers and diversion of employee resources" to correct the problem.

Defendants have yet to respond to the suit, which was filed in Clark County District Court on Sept. 4.
