New Haven staple Sally's Apizza will open in Dorchester, Massachusetts, on Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. Reservations are required for the brand's grand opening festivities, according to a press release.
"We're thrilled to expand our footprint with the opening of our second Massachusetts restaurant here in Dorchester," Christian Bonaventura, brand advisor, said in the press release. "The success of Sally's in nearby Woburn has stoked a passionate flame in the Boston area, and we can't wait to bring our unique brand of excitement, which includes nods to a number of famous former and current Dorchester residents, to more of our fans. We've got a really fun lineup of entertainment for our grand opening event."
Sally's pizzas are handmade and coal-fired, characterized by a thin charred crust, tangy tomato sauce and the light touch of mozzarella that the brand is famous for. Ten pizzas are on the menu including the classic Tomato Sauce Pie, Mozzarella & Tomato and Potato & Rosemary. A rotating selection of up-to-three additional seasonal pies will also always be available. Wine, classic cocktails, beer, non-alcoholic options and sodas are also available.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week: Sunday-Thursday (11:30am-9:00pm) and Friday and Saturday (11:30am-10:00pm). Reservations are available at the brand's website. Take out and delivery will begin Oct. 7.
