San Antonio pizzeria issues plea to help keep doors open

Deco Pizzeria in San Antonio is seeking the public's help to keep doors open in 2024, according to a mysanantonio.com report.

Founded in 2011, owner Jacob Valenzuela asked customers via its Facebook page to keep the restaurant open as its future looks uncertain.

"Since Covid, our struggles remain the same: staffing shortages; increased food cost, and increases in overhead expenses. We continue to be optimistic but the reality is that everyday is a struggle," he wrote. "The extreme heat during summer added to the already daily struggles. As you know, we depend on our patio and live music to help generate revenue. With the cold and wet weather approaching, I am not certain how much longer we can keep our doors open."
