Sbarro has filed for bankruptcy protection again, its second such filing in three years.
Rumors have been swirling about the move for a couple of weeks, and Reuters reported this morning that the Melville-N.Y.-based pizza chain, and more than 30 affiliates, filed for Chapter 11 protection through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.
The company has between $100M and $500M in assets and liabilities, the story reported. Sbarro is expected to close more than 150 of its 400 North American restaurants.
