Sbarro net up more than 600 percent

MELVILLE, N.Y. — Same-store sales at Melville, N.Y.-based Sbarro Inc. grew 4.4 percent in the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, the company announced April 2.

Revenues for the year increased 2 percent, up from $348.7 in FY '05 to $354.4 million in FY '06. Net income increased 607 percent, up from $1.4 million the previous year to$9.9 million.
