MELVILLE, N.Y.—A modest comparable-store sales gain of 2.8 percent helped Sbarro post a 2005 profit of $1.3 million versus a loss of $4.3 million in 2004.
According to a regulatory filing, for the 52-week period ended Jan. 1, 2006, revenue declined slightly to $348.6 million from $348.8 million in 2004, a 53-week fiscal year.
The company closed the year with 977 units, up slightly from 961 in 2004.
