If the Detroit Lions won a game, Shield's Restaurant and Pizzerias in Troy, Southfield and Detroit, Michigan would offer its guests free pizza, and the wait is over. Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings has Michigan pizza fans cheering, according to a report in The Detroit Free Press.

The Lions bested the Vikings 29 to 27 on Sunday. Tomorrow, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests can get a free small one-topping pizza. Got a group? Three people or more will receive a free large one-topping. The offer is available for dine-in customers with reservations only.

"The team has had some tough breaks this season and we're glad to see them pull out a victory, especially at home and against Minnesota," Paul Andoni of Shield's said in a news release. "We're glad to show our loyalty by giving away free pizza to celebrate their first win. Maybe this is the start of a new trend for the team!"

According to the news outlet, Shield's made the offer in Oct. 2021 after an overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers. The team hadn't won a game until yesterday.
