Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza plans to grow the number of its units from existing business in Rochester, Minnesota, Ames, Iowa and Grand Junction, Colorado. The brand currently has deals with franchisee groups for locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado and Minnesota, according to a news release.
"We have generated a lot of interest in our franchise opportunity because of the popularity of fast-casual pizza options for families across the country," said Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza CEO Matt Mongoven in the release. "Our growth can be attributed to our strong franchise system, strong profit margins and our high quality, affordable food. We believe that we make the best wood-fired pizza in the fast-casual industry, and we do it day-in and day-out, catering to everyone, from those who have limited time for lunch to families who want to make it a pizza night out."
The brand said an Omaha, Nebraska store will open in May on South 31st Avenue and will include a taproom. Then a Cedar Falls, Iowa location is scheduled to open on West Ridgeway Avenue in August.
In Denver, the company said a developer has signed a lease for the first of three locations in Broomfield, Colorado. Finally, a store in Apple Valley, in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, is slated to open in October, while a store in Grand Junction, Colorado is set to open in Q2 2021.
The brand, founded in 2009, has been franchising since 2017.
