The controversy over the New England Patriots' alleged deflating of footballs to gain competitive advantage has turned into a promotional opportunity for Redmond, Washington-based Spazzo Italian Grill & Wine Bar.

In an effort to "kill two birds with one stone," the company has decided to deflate the meatballs on its pizzas in honor of Super Bowl XLIX, at the same time executing an epic burn on suspected cheaters, the New England Patriots. Now through the end of the Super Bowl, Spazzo's will deflate meatballs between lunch and dinner for $12.

"The technique of flattening our meatballs to the perfect specifications is tricky; however, it will give the 12s a competitive advantage in their consumption without compromising the outstanding taste," said Chef Decker in a statement.

"We have decided to take a page out of the New England Patriots' playbook," said Lindsey Schwartz, CEO of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. "We are always looking for any advantage over the competition, no matter what it takes."
