SpeedLine to sponsor credit card security seminar

LYNDEN, Wash. -- Restaurant point-of-sale provider SpeedLine Solutions Inc. has engaged Jim Fish, vice president of IT governance and compliance firm Coalfire Systems, to present a complimentary seminar on credit card security and PCI compliance at the International Pizza Expo.
The seminar is scheduled for 9 a.m. on March 11 in room N260 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and is open to all Pizza Expo attendees. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited.
"Last week's reports of a major credit card security breach at Heartland Payment Systems and a 47 percent rise in data breaches in the United States in 2008 reinforced for us that it is critical for restaurant operators to learn how to safeguard their businesses," said SpeedLine president John de Wolde.
