Stevi B's Pizza grows Alabama footprint

Stevi B's Pizza has signed an agreement to develop four locations in North Alabama with new franchisees and Huntsville area residents Jim King and Chris Hunter.

King and Hunter, who operate a wide variety of businesses throughout the area, plan to open Stevi B's Pizza restaurants in the Madison, Huntsville, Decatur and Florence, Ala., regions.

"We took an exhaustive look at the fast casual segment and specifically the highly competitive pizza category and agreed that Stevi B's has the most business potential," said Jim King. "In addition to elevating the category with a better quality product and upscale atmosphere, we think Stevi B's does an amazing job of endearing itself to the local community which is important to us."

The first location in the agreement is expected to open in Madison, Ala., by the end of 2012. Stevi B's Pizza currently exists in Gadsden and Fort Payne, Ala.

Stevi B's Pizza was founded in 1996 in Atlanta and is owned by Argonne Capital, an Atlanta private equity firm.
