QSR pizza brand, Stoner's Pizza Joint, has opened its first Atlanta location and newest franchisee-owned store at 120 Piedmont Ave. NE, under Chunara Food Group leads, Ali and Shezaan Chunara. The company also owns more than 70 U.S. locations Popeyes, Church's Chicken, Dunkin Donuts and TGI Friday's, a news release said.
"We are excited to bring our operational experience and background to the Stoner's Pizza family as we embark on opening the brand's first flagship store in the Atlanta market," Chunara Food Group Vice President Shezaan Chunara said in the release.
Stoner's is delivery-focused with half its sales from delivery or off-premise dining. The Atlanta location is part of the brand's franchising push and the store will also launch the brand's app this year offering ordering and VIP rewards.
"2019 was an exciting year for Stoner's Pizza Joint with the launch of our new branding and accelerating our franchise program with the addition of strong multi-unit franchisees," Stoner's Pizza Joint Chief Concept Officer Nick Bergelt said in the release. "We are thrilled to begin 2020 with the debut of the new Atlanta store, growing the brand further into Georgia and insulating it with everything it needs to be the leader in this space."
Stoner's Pizza Joint Atlanta is open until 1 or 2 a.m. every day but Sunday, when it closes at 10 p.m. The brand is currently focusing on the Southeast U.S. for franchise expansion from prospective franchisees with a minimum net worth of $250,000 for an estimated initial investment range of $90,000 to $206,000 for the first location, including a franchise fee of $25,000. If franchisees chose to develop multiple units, the franchise fee for three units is $65,000 and, for five units, $95,000.
