Straw Hat Pizza opens in Nevada

SPARKS, Nev. — Straw Hat Pizza has opened its newest location in Sparks, Nev., owned and operated by Larry and Lori Lancelle. The new restaurant is the first Straw Hat location to feature a full bar.
According to a news release, the Sparks location marks Straw Hat's return to the Reno/Sparks market, after the company underwent a series of changes when Pizza Hut bought a majority of its locations in the late 1980s. Straw Hat now operates more than 40 family pizza restaurants in California and has another Nevada location in Carson City.
