BOCA RATON, Fla. — A successful beta test conducted by UDS, a 75-unit Subway franchisee group, has resulted in a full-scale launch of sandwich delivery service to the southwest Florida area around the cities of Naples and Ft. Meyers.
According to a news release, the company has purchased a national one-number (888-SUB-TO-GO) for easy customer use. UDS also wants to "expand its capabilities on a national level with other larger recognized brands."
According to UDS chief executive Ryan Coblin, orders are processed via the store's POS system and then delivered by Subway employees.
Coblin said the company will send magnet mailers and flyers to about 25,000 households in the area to promote the service.
