Nearly all employers — 95 percent — said in a recent survey that they are adding more shifts this summer compared to last year.
Due to the increased applying and hiring process, many employers have gone digital with application processing in order to keep up, according to "Summer Hiring Survey," released by Snag, which polled 1,000 managers with responsibilities for hiring hourly workers in retail, restaurant and hospitality.
"We're thrilled to see nearly all employers are adding extra shifts this summer on top of hiring more hourly workers, Snag CEO Peter Harrison, said in a company press release. "This is doubly good news because it likely indicates that current employees are getting more hours."
