Tasty Hut acquires 117 Pizza Huts

Rage Inc. sold 117 Pizza Hut locations in seven mostly southeastern states to Tasty Brands, a subsidiary of Tasty Hut LLC, according to a news release from Unbridled Capital, which provided sell-side advisory in the transaction. The stores involved were located in North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Illinois.

As a condition of the closing, Unbridled Capital will make a charitable contribution to the Pizza Hut museum at Wichita State University in Kansas, the release said. The company said that over the past three years it has completed 11 Pizza Hut sell-side transactions representing almost 500 restaurants with a success rate of 91.7%.
