Teens charged with attempted murder in delivery shooting

Palatka Daily News: Two 16-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the Dec. 22 shooting and carjacking of a pizza delivery person in Interlachen, Fla.

David Laureano Mendez was identified as the shooter and charged with attempted murder and carjacking with a firearm. Angel Luis Rodriguez was charged with principal to attempted murder and principal to carjacking with a firearm.

Hawthorne resident Cynthia Marie Hall, 27, received medical treatment in Gainesville, Fla., for gunshot wounds to her face and was released Friday. Still conscious when she was found that night, Hall told investigators she was on a pizza delivery when a man stopped her near Lakeview Drive and First Way, shot her in the face, pulled her out of her car and drove away.
