Texas police chief fired over pizza delivery job

Valley Morning Star (Harlingen, Texas): Rio Hondo, Texas, city commissioners fired longtime Police Chief Sam Martinez after they found out he works a second job at a Pizza Hut.
Martinez, a 10-year veteran with the police department, said he believed he was fired because he launched a criminal investigation, which he declined to describe. Martinez's lawyers said he would file a lawsuit over his firing.
