The Loop Pizza Grill to debut new prototype

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Loop Pizza Grill is planning to open a new unit in that city's St. Johns Town Center in the fall. The restaurant will feature a new design for the 31-year-old chain.

According to the Florida Times-Union, the prototype spans 4,000 square feet. The new design was conceptualized by Loop co-founder Terry Schneider, as well as Rebecca Davisson of Designmind, a Jacksonville-based interior design firm.

The new restaurant's design elements will include a 50-foot mural and other artwork. Plans for a refreshed image have been in place since 2006, but were put on hold because of the recession.
