Bangkok Post: Minor Food Group has set a five-year goal of opening at least 300 outlets under The Pizza Company banner in Asia.
Currently, the company has three outlets abroad: one in Beijing and two in Kuwait.
Scott Wilson, vice-president of The Pizza Company, said the goal was to create one of the leading regional brands in the pizza industry.
"We expect the revenue from overseas will eventually represent about 50 percent of our total turnover within the next five years," he said.
Earlier this year, the group set up a joint venture with AIG Insurance, which operates a restaurant venture in China called Le Jazz. The joint-venture firm, called Minor Food Group China, now operates the only Pizza Company outlet in Beijing.
This year, another six outlets will be opened in the capital city of China.
