The Pizza Press presses into new territory

May 5, 2016

By year's end, The Pizza Press will open 12 new U.S. locations, according to a company press release. That growth spurt will continue in 2017, when the chain plans to open 30 locations.
The news comes on the heels of a first-quarter report that said the chain had grown 53 percent over Q1 in 2015. Since opening in October 2014, the national franchise has accrued 32 outlets.

The 12 locations set to break ground this year in Southern California include outlets in North Hollywood, West Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Rancho Santa Margarita and Carlsbad. Another store is set to open in Austin, Texas later this year.  Plans also call for new outlets in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Florida, as well as a move into China.

"We are thrilled to see the immense growth we’ve had in just this first quarter of 2016, and have set some vigorous goals to keep this pace up throughout the rest of the year," said Pizza Press Founder Dara Maleki.

The locations join four current restaurants in Anaheim, Orange, Fullerton and Pasadena. The rapidly expanding franchise features made-to-order custom pizzas built around a newspaper theme. The chain also offers handcrafted ice cream sandwiches and craft beer.
