New Units Roundup: Half of new locations situated in Midwest

New pizzerias open in the South, East and West coast, but are mostly situated in Midwestern towns.

Here's a round-up of new restaurant openings and deals this week:

Dallas-based RedBrick Pizza, the fast-casual restaurant serving up gourmet artisan pizza in 3 minutes in a 1000⁰ open flame terra cotta oven, is opened its first location in Missouri at Northpark Mall in Joplin. This new location is the first of several restaurants in the area to be developed over the next three years, the company said.

Domino's opened its first location in Maxatawny, Pennsylvania, according to the Reading Eagle, in the Maxatawny Marketplace shopping center.

Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, a national casual dining restaurant, announced that it opened its first South Carolina location in Columbia at 802 Gervais Street, Suite 100C. The restaurant will create nearly 120 jobs for the area, the company said. The company partnered with Harvest Hope Food Bank to celebrate the opening and will donate one dollar from every Chicago 7 and Meat Me specialty pizza ordered after 3 p.m. through Feb. 2 to provide for hungry people.

Pieology Pizzeria announced its Santa Rosa, California location will open on Feb. 6. It is located at 2280 Mendocino Avenue at Mendocino Marketplace.

Papa John's opened a new location in Pulaski County, Ohio inside a new Double K convenience store on Cleburne Boulevard.

Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza, announced the opening of its second South Florida location, in Boca Raton and its 25th Southern California location, at the University of Southern California, both on Feb. 5.To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will offer free build-your-own artisanal pizzas on Feb. 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Boca location and from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m at the So Cal location to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, the company said. 

Blaze also announced the opening of its new location at The Ohio State University, also on Feb. 6 6. The company is giving away pizza from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m to anyone who follows the company on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. It will be located at 1708 North High Street, in a 2,500 square foot space that seats 70 guests. 

Chicago-based Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza announced the opening of the first of several new Midwest locations in Indianapolis, Indiana. The new, full-service restaurant is located at 4110 East 82nd Street in the city’s popular Rivers Edge shopping center.

Pie Five will open its third location Nashville on Feb. 9. It will be located at 271 Indian Lake Blvd, Suite 130, in Hendersonville, across from the Regal Cinemas movie theater, the company announced. The new location is the third of 10 planned franchise units opened by local businessmen Rich Davis and Ron Payne of Music City Pie Works LLC.
