Tievoli Pizza Bar intros Detroit-style pizza

Tievoli Pizza Bar in Palatine, Illinois, has added Detroit-style pizza to its menu, according to a press release.

The 72-hour fermented dough rises for eight hours at room temperature to achieve its signature texture. Any pizza on the menu can be made into a Detroit-style pizza.

Prices range from $20 to $30 depending on style.

"We love giving our guests new and exciting options, and adding Detroit-style pizza to the menu was a natural next step," Giovanni Labbate, chef of Tievoli Pizza Bar, said in the press release. "This style stands out for its thick, airy crust and, most importantly, the 'frico,' the crispy, fried cheese that forms around the edges. It's a delicious contrast of textures that we know our customers will love."
