Toppers Pizza expands in Chicago area

Toppers Pizza is expanding in the Chicagoland area with a restaurant in Edgewater, Illinois. The location opens Feb. 3 and is a few blocks from Loyola University Chicago. It's the second Toppers store owned by Numan Asad, who opened the Gurnee location in August of 2022, according to a press release.

The brand will celebrate the Edgewater grand opening with:

• The chance to win free food for a year. Fifteen winners will be chosen from a Facebook page in the weeks leading up to opening day.
• The first 50 walk-in customers who make a $10 minimum purchase on opening day will win free food for a year.
• The first 500 customers get a scratch-off for a chance at free food for a year. Every other scratch-off ticket earns a free medium or Triple Topperstix.
• From Feb. 3 to Feb. 10, the grand opening celebration continues with a "Buy One Pizza, Get One Free" offer.

"In a city known for its love of pizza, Toppers is growing our Chicagoland fanbase quickly with our fresh, innovative and crave-worthy pizzas," Mac Malchow, VP of development for Toppers, said in the press release. "With committed owners like Numan on our team, Toppers will keep growing and bringing big, bold flavors across the country."

Toppers Pizza is headquartered in Wisconsin. The brand has more than 70 units.
