Topper's to add Ontario location

October 18, 2011

The Toppazzini family is launching its second Topper's Pizza store in Hamilton, Ontario. It's also the first Southern Ontario store to feature the Topper's redesigned store interior. The new design is inspired by the legacy of the original Toppazzini Bakery near Sudbury, where the company had its start delivering freshly baked bread to local residents each morning.

"We're returning to our roots with our new look," said Keith Toppazzini, president of Topper's Franchise Company Inc., owner of the Topper's Pizza brand. "The design of our newest Southern Ontario location is intended to reflect the warmth of a family-run business and emphasizes our commitment to delivering delicious food to the communities we serve, a tradition my great grandfather started more than 100 years ago."

The new store is the third location for Hamilton franchisee Gus Karouzakis. It boasts the signature brick archway of the Toppazzini Bakery as a reminder of one of the brand's key differentiators – an authentic 100-year old family bread dough recipe – and is designed to make consumers feel at home with a warm and inviting family atmosphere.

Topper's was born out of the Toppazzini Bakery that opened in 1904. The growing pizza chain plans to have 300 locations opened in the next eight years.
