Hector Delgadillo, CEO of Turbo Coil, has designed a new environmentally-friendly refrigeration system, according to the company.
The Turbo Coil R290 Propane Glycol Refrigeration Pizza Prep Table & Glycol Chef Base is designed to consume less power, offer higher efficiency and is ozone-safe.
"We have been servicing and installing refrigeration coils for years," said Delgadillo. "They all have similar problems, resulting in more cost to the end user. We wanted to make a product that would 'blow the whistle' and restore buying power to the customer. We did just that."
Cheesecake Factory, BJ's Chicago for Pizza, Encore/Wynn Hotels and MGM Grand Hotels have contracted to install Turbo Coil, named for the company. What makes the refrigeration system different, the company said, is that it utilizes stainless steel in the refrigeration coils rather than aluminum. The system has a replaceable and removable core and can integrate a breakaway fan. Most coils must be replaced after the core fails and cost upwards of $1,000, the company stated. While standard coils last about five years, the Turbo Coil is designed to last 15 years.
The high efficiency blower motor on each coil provides heat recovery, with a multidirectional fan that cools where required.
The Turbo Coil employs a digital thermostat, which the company said is more accurate than outdated analog thermostats. The system is enclosed in stainless steel to protect from age, debris, moisture and other corrosive elements. The coils are manufactured in the U.S. and assembled at a Duarte, California location.
