Turu’s by Timber Pizza Company changes name due to customer confusion

Turu's by Timber Pizza Company is changing its name to Timber Pizza Company after CEO and co-Owner Luke Watson said many customers wonder who the "Turu" in Turu's is, according to a arlnow.com report.

The pizzeria has two locations in Arlington, Virginia, and one in Washington D.C. It also runs a mobile wood-fired pizza unit.

Turu was a tribute to the brother of Timber's chef, Daniela Moreira, also a co-owner of the business.

"We've loved working in Arlington and building a community of fans in" Northern Virginia," Watson said in a press release, "but, we've also realized because of the name, people are confused around what and who Turu is! To eliminate the confusion, Turu's is now simply: Timber Pizza Co."

The brand has new signage.
