Two Mellow Mushrooms set to open

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has two openings slated for Oct. 10, in Cumming, Ga., and Denton, Texas.

Charles and Kelly Wilson will operate the Mellow Mushroom in Cumming.

"We have some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment attractions in the area, and Mellow Mushroom will be a great addition to the community," Kelly said.

This Mellow features a huge original mural, measuring 37 feet in length and inspired by music festivals. This unique piece of art encompasses a collage of festival tickets and is outlined entirely by musical instruments.

It also includes a beer club with 100 craft beers. Additionally, the Cumming Mellow Mushroom and AMC Theatres have paired up to bring you a dinner and a movie promotion featuring a medium cheese pizza and two fountain drinks for $10 when you bring your ticket stub. Live music and trivia nights are also featured weekly. '

In Denton, the Mellow Mushroom is located just off of the downtown square, one block from the A-Train Station. It marks the fourth unit in Texas, is the second location owned and operated by Martha and Monte Jensen.

"Being residents of Denton, we always knew Mellow would be the perfect fit for this city. Mellow Mushroom and Denton have a lot of similarities, as they both have the same aesthetic appeal centered on music, unique architecture and art," Martha said.

The Denton Mellow features a full-service bar with 28 unique draft beers and a Mellow Beer Club with 70 brews while earning rewards along the way.

This location seats 235 people and is designed to create a variety of smaller areas. These will include an open bar area, a partially covered patio, and an 8 top private booth known as the beer bottle shrine. In addition, the Mellow Saloon will seat up to 15 people.
