Una Pizza Napoletana to reopen in NYC

After a two-year COVID-19-born hiatus, Una Pizza Napoletana is back on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, according to an Eater New York report. The restaurant will open March 3.

The pizzeria shut down in March 2020 as NYC restaurants closed their doors due to a citywide shutdown. Pizzaiolo Anthony Mangieri renovated the pizzeria's interior, made some menu changes and will open as a coffeehouse from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays shortly after the pizzeria opens for business.

"I've spent the better part of my adult life running toward a finish line, wondering when are you truly the best you can be at something? When have you reached the point of mastery? Now I know that the finish line doesn't exist, but I'm driven by the pursuit," Mangieri said in an email statement.
