Uno Pizzeria & Grill has started its "Pay-It-Forward-Pizza" program, which gives customers a way to do just that by partnering with their local Uno's to feed those in need. Through this program, people can donate any number of $10 Pay-It-Forward Pizzas as part or in place of one their own orders by going online to unos.com/payitforward, a news release said.

A few recent examples of this giving program's results, include Uno's Corporate recent donation of deep dish pizzas to the medical staff at the Boston Medical Center, as well as an individual gift of some 300 pizzas to the Denver VA Medical Center, and a match by another donor of more than 500 pies to Clifton, New Jersey hospitals and first responders, among others.

"Through UNO's 'Pay-It-Forward-Pizza' program, any level of donation is greatly appreciated as we work to support the communities we live in and serve right now," said Uno CMO Amanda Helming, said in the release. "This program not only helps keep our own restaurant workers busy during these challenging times, it offers our generous guests — many of whom have proactively reached out in recent weeks looking to help — a way to provide much needed hot meals to those who need it most in our local communities. We appreciate their encouragement and support as we look forward to serving up our legendary deep dish pizza for another 75 years to come."

The Boston-based chain includes 90 stores worldwide, specializing in the Chicago Deep Dish pie the brand invented in 1943.
