Villa Pizza signs 10-store deal in Kuwait

MORRISTOWN, N.J.--Villa Pizza has signed a development agreement to open 10 stores in Kuwait.

According to a news release, a franchisee plans to open the first store this spring in Salmiya, Kuwait.

"This is an ideal country to begin our Middle Eastern development," said Anthony Scotto, executive vice president of Villa Enterprises. "Kuwait is well adapted to American brands, and the market is prime for a venture of this sort."

In the past five years, Villa Enterprises has more than doubled in size. Villa Enterprises now has a total of 300 stores in 38 states and four countries. About half the units are company owned. Villa Pizza has six locations in Italy, five in the United Kingdom, one in Peru, and one in the Netherlands Antilles.
