Vistar acquires pizza, Italian distributor Original Brand Foods

DENVER—Vistar Corp., based here, announced Jan. 9 that it acquired Original Brand Foods of Atlanta Inc.

According to the Denver Business Journal, Atlanta-based Original Brand Foods primarily is a pizzeria, deli and Italian restaurant distributor in the Atlanta region.

"We are excited to build upon and strengthen our presence in these specialized channels of business," said George Holm, president and CEO of Vistar. "The addition of Original Brand Foods will offer our committed food service and pizza suppliers great growth opportunities."

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
