Wasserstrom, a restaurant supplier and distributor of foodservice supplies and equipment, is partnering wtih Creating Revolutions, a provider of mobile technologies, to distribute Service Pager with Touch & Discover technology, according to a company press release.

Service Pager is a customizable system that increases table turnover by an average of 10 minutes, improves workflow, reduces errors and increases high-profit item sales by 32 percent, as well as bigger server tips, according to the release.

"Wasserstrom is excited to partner with Creating Revolutions," The Wasserstrom Company President Brad Wasserstrom said. "Their new Service Pager product is a fantastic innovation bringing better service to the customer, up-selling opportunities to the brand, as well as increased labor efficiency and management tools. We are excited to bring this to market as it is truly revolutionary."

One of the inventors of NFC mobile payments, Einar Rosenberg, CEO of Creating Revolutions, created the product.

"For 2,000 years the basics of the restaurant industry have not changed and the myth of service quality has dogged servers," Rosenberg said. "While there are good and bad waiters, the lack of secure and smart communication between server and customer has plagued all service quality — until now. "Service Pager is elegantly simple to use, but incredibly complex and powerful behind the curtain. We are not removing the human element. We are enhancing it. Servers can reduce their workload significantly."

The product features next-generation Quantum security and privacy, stated the release. It is also self-sustaining and requires no infrastructure. Guests slide their personal cell phones on a Touch & Discover disc adhered to the table and securely communicate their requests to the server.

"The goal of partnering with Wasserstrom is to bring forth truly revolutionary tools to transform the industry," Rosenberg said. "With Wasserstrom’s guidance and wisdom, we made a great product that benefits the ecosystem, drives it forward and heralds a new age for the hospitality industry."

According to the release, Service Pager comprises three patented technology components:

  1. Touch & Discover Table/Bar Disc, which can be personalized and requires no Wi-Fi, Internet access, recharging or power cord.
  2. Notification Device Platform is designed to run on countless possible connected devices. They offer a Notification Watch that can last up to two weeks without a recharge and translate multiple languages to the waiter, making it universal.
  3. Employee Smart ID Fob that wirelessly and securely confirms which server reached the customer and how long it took to arrive.

Service Pager is the first of multiple innovative products to be introduced by Creating Revolutions and The Wasserstrom Company, according to the release.
