Wendy's, Domino's top list of adoption-friendly workplaces

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption announced its eighth annual list of the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces in the food, beverage and restaurant industry.

Included on the list this year were The Wendy's Company, No. 1, followed by Brinker International, First Sun Management Corporation, Wendcentral Corp/WendPartners and Domino's Pizza LLC.

In addition to ranking first in its industry, The Wendy's Company ranked as No. 1 on the Top 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces List, across all industries. According to a news release, the company provides its employees with up to $25,300 per adoption and six weeks of paid leave.

"Wendy's founder, Dave Thomas, was himself adopted, and his commitment to help children in foster care find forever families remains our signature cause," CEO Emil Brolick said in the release.  "We're honored to be named the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace again this year and proud to provide our employees with important benefits that support the building of families through adoption."

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption list is determined by an analysis of a company's adoption benefits, including the maximum amount of financial reimbursement and paid leave for employees who adopt.
