It's been a big year for California-based Big Mama's & Papa's Pizza. Since Ellen DeGeneres ordered pizza from the restaurant for herself and Hollywood elite such as Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford at the 2014 Oscars, the company's had an exciting year, according to Slate.

The event shot Big Mama's into unexpected fame that is still holding strong a year later, as Big Mama's prepares for world domination – its goal is to go global. The company's 180 seconds of free fame is estimated by TMZ to be worth about $10.8 million, taking into account what ABC charges for a 30-second ad, the article said.

Big Mama's currently has 20 locations the L.A. area, some of which are franchised. Armenian immigrant brothers Aro and Allen Agakhanyan started the pizzeria in 1992 while they were still in high school.

The company has another claim to fame: it serves a 54-inch, 200-slice Giant Sicilian pizza that was named the largest deliverable pizza in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records, Slate said.

Big Mama's is set to expand in California, Arizona, Nevada and Dubai.
