Youthful operator opens fifth pizzeria

September 2, 2009

Tony King, 27, has opened his fifth Tony's Pizza and Subs location, in the town of Mauldin, S.C., according to a story in the Greenville News.

King opened his first restaurant in 2005 in the town of Fountain Inn.

According to the story:
King decided to open a second location at the Bloom Shopping Center on West Georgia Road in Simpsonville, since much of his Fountain Inn business came from that area. From there he expanded to a location at Five Forks and another in Clemson before his pizzeria in Mauldin.

"Once the Simpsonville location opened, I realized what we might be able to do with this, how we could make this thing grow," he said.
