Yum Brands Inc. has appointed of Kathleen "Leeny" K. Oberg to its Board of Directors. Oberg, the former chief financial officer and executive vice president of development at Marriott International Inc., joins the board as the parent company of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut continues its global expansion, according to a press release.
"Leeny is a highly accomplished leader with deep global experience and a strong track record of driving disciplined growth," Brian Cornell, non-executive chairman of the Yum Brands Board of Directors, said in the press release. "Her expertise and perspective will be a strong addition to our board and will help guide our strategy. We are pleased to welcome her to Yum! Brands."
Oberg's tenure at Marriott spanned nearly three decades, including a decade as CFO. She also previously served as the CFO for The Ritz-Carlton and held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs and Chase Manhattan Bank.

"With nearly three decades at Marriott International, her impressive background includes driving growth, financial discipline and operational performance. In addition to her new role at Yum, Oberg currently serves on the board of Adobe Inc.
Yum Brands, based in Louisville, operates or franchises more than 63,000 restaurants in over 155 countries and territories. The company's portfolio includes KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Habit Burger & Grill.
