Forbes: Yum Brands Inc. said Thursday that combined same-store sales at U.S. Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC restaurants rose 2 percent in October, despite lower sales at the fried chicken chain.
Same-store sales are for restaurants that have been open at least a year. The company said that Pizza Hut same-store sales posted the largest growth, jumping 6 percent from October 2003. Taco Bell sales rose 3 percent and KFC sales fell 3 percent. In October 2003, KFC sales broke even with the previous year.
