(Louisville, Ky.) Courier-Journal: No-smoking signs will begin going up next week at company-owned KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in the United States, Yum! Brands Inc. said yesterday.The Louisville, Ky., company plans to begin phasing in the policy at its 1,200 domestic KFC restaurants and 1,675 Pizza Huts and will encourage the two brands' 8,800 franchisees to do the same.
"This is the right thing to do given the dangers of secondhand smoke exposure," said Yum senior vice president Jonathan Blum in the statement.
