Red Book Connect’s HotSchedules announces app for iPad

iPad app delivers enhancements for mobile users

September 24, 2014

ATLANTA – September 24, 2014 Red Book Connect’s HotSchedules today announces the release of its brand new app for iPad. The HotSchedules iPad app supports all current functionality of the iPhone app, such as viewing the schedules, messaging, reporting and more, with several enhancements and added features. These added benefits include optimization for the extra screen space provided by the tablet device, which allows for a double-pane view that can display more information on screen at one time.

One of the added benefits is the My Schedule screen, which now allows users to view their schedule on the left pane while simultaneously displaying shift details on the right. Users can view who is and isn’t working, release, swap, and pickup shifts from the pane on the right.

In the Calendar section, many features will now utilize a calendar view by default, allowing the user to instantly get a visual snapshot of their scheduled shifts, blocked days and time off requests.

While using the Digital Logbook feature, users can view daily logs and staff journal entries from the left pane while simultaneously viewing the entire post and its comments.

Managers who use HotSchedules reports, such as the roster report and sales and labor reports, will also benefit from new features. For example, the sales and labor summary view not only shows data for projected and sales, scheduled and actual hours, as well as costs and percentages, there is now a graphical representation of the data as well.

Casey Clinkenbeard, the product team’s vice president said, “The HotSchedules iPad app is designed to take advantage of the larger screen and deliver more information in one view, and our development team has done an amazing job of making it incredibly easy to navigate. Anyone who has used our mobile apps will have no trouble at all when moving to the iPad app, and the larger views make it that much more beneficial to the user.”
