As we inch closer to the upcoming Memorial holiday, gas continues to rise, but the week saw few changes in cheese and wheat.
Here's a glimpse at the market:
Block cheese prices averaged $1.61 once again on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, for the second week in a row.
Prices remained steady throughout the week.
Wheat averaged $5.20 last week on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, down from $5.26 the previous week.
Wheat closed at $5.16 Monday, $5.13 Tuesday, $5.27 Wednesday, $5.18 Thursday and $5.28 Friday.
The nationwide average for regular unleaded gasoline was $2.66, up from $2.62 the previous week, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
Mid-range unleaded came in at $2.87, while premium unleaded price tipped the three-dollar mark again at $3.06, up from $3.01 the previous week.
The nationwide average for diesel fuel is $2.85, up from $2.82 last week.
The prices at most trading locations increased through the report week. Henry Hub spot prices started the week at $2.56/MMBtu, and rose 19¢ to $2.75/MMBtu.
At the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex), the June prompt month contract opened the report week at $2.606/MMBtu, increased during the week and ended up at $2.776/MMBtu.
Shares in Pizza Hut parent Yum! Brands Inc. closed at $90.39 Friday, down slightly from $91.01 the previous week.
Domino's finished last week at $109 .06, up from $108.34, the previous week, and achieved a 52-week high of $114.
Papa John's finished at $65.63 Friday, up more than $3 from $62.10 the previous week.
Papa Murphy's turned in at $17.87 Friday, up from $17.29 the previous Friday. FRSH's 52-week high came in at $20 and its low at $8.08 this year.
