Travis departure no mystery, Papa John's official says
CEO departing for another opportunity.

Louisville, Ky. -- Papa John's officials stressed Friday that there was nothing nefarious about the departure of chief executive Nigel Travis.
Papa John's issued a press release Thursday stating that Travis was resigning effective Dec. 30 and that founder John Schnatter would serve as interim CEO until a replacement was found.
"We were very specific to use language that showed he was leaving for a specific opportunity," said company spokesman Chris Sternberg.
Travis isn't allowed to say where he is going because that company has not yet made an announcement, Sternberg said.
