Pie Five is going north with its latest opening, while Uncle Maddio's heads south after signing a deal for five restaurants in the Sunshine State.
Pie Five's newest restaurant and first Pennsylvania location opens today on Walker Road in Chambersburg. The restaurant is the first in a development deal with former McDonald's franchisee, Peter Ballantine, which includes up to 34 locations in Pennsylvania and Ohio, according to a news release.
To celebrate the opening, the Chambersburg restaurant will donate a percentage of pre-opening event proceeds to the Four Diamonds Fund, supporting kids with cancer at Penn State Children's Hospital. Pie Five now has more than 100 locations in the U.S.
Meanwhile, down on Florida's western coast, a former McDonald's operations director and franchisee, is opening Uncle Maddio’s Pizza newest location in St. Petersburg, according to a news release. Linda Zamboni has signed an agreement to open five units in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area over the next five years. The newest location opens this week on Fourth Street, with free pizza for guests from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, according to a release.
