Ad campaign helps pump CiCis' sales

COPPELL, Texas — Comparable-store sales at CiCi's Pizza are up 2.3 percent so far for the month of April, on top of an 18 percent comps increase recorded for April 2007, the company has announced. This year's gain coincides with the launch of a new radio and television advertising campaign developed by Deutsch Advertising.
 
The new television spots are an extension of the national campaign launched in the second quarter of 2007, which capitalizes on the humorous side of dining at a buffet. The new Line Jumper spot deals with the dilemma of whether it is okay to pass someone in line if they're taking too long.
 
The second spot, titled Lewis & Clark, takes a look at how two people explore the buffet.
 
A new radio spot, First Bite Dilemma, tackles the difficulty of making a decision with all the choices that CiCis has to offer. Another spot, titled Peacemaker, highlights CiCi's as the family mealtime solution, offering something for everyone of all ages.
